Shopping for Girl November 11th 2009

Mom and I both took the day off work today. We wanted to visit the new outlet malls that just opened. I went nuts in the Carter outlet. They had tons of wonderful and adorable girl stuff that was not pink. I wanted everything I saw. I also bought a really really cute winter coat and red Mary Jane shoes in the Gymboree outlet. Some of the highlights are attached. Now I was determined to have the best dressed little girl in town.
I got a call from the doctor's office a couple days later. After my doctor and another reviewed the ultrasound pictures they wanted me to get another ultrasound at my next regularly scheduled appointment. They were not satisfied with the clarity of the pictures of the heart and spinal cord. Of course this freaked me out completely but the nurse assured me that if they thought something was wrong they would have asked me to come in right away. She said it was probably too early to have done the ultrasound, it is usually done a couple more weeks into the pregnancy than I was. So then I was excited, any time I get to see the baby is great.

Meanwhile Jay and I had finally decided on a final paint scheme for the nursery. I had already picked out my bedding (another thing that was hard to do avoiding pink) so we knew what colors we had to work with. We decided on a beautiful light purple for the main color with darker purple leaf like designs over it. Because I am adding some Tinker Bell accessories we decided to paint the window trim and the closet doors a very light Tinker Bell green. Jason is very artistic so even though it sounds a little weird, its gonna look great!!!!
